Crêpe Paper Roses

Crêpe Paper Roses

This is a charming project with an old-fashioned feel. I used to make these roses with my grandmother, Mormor. I hold this project dear to my heart.

You need:

Crepe paper (I got mine here www.etsy.com/shop/QualityItalianCrepe)

rubber bands

thin metal wire

wire cutter

  1. Start by cutting 6" thick strips of the crêpe paper. The longer the strip the fuller the rose.
  2. Roll each strip loosely together and secure one end with a rubber band.
  3. Start spreading out the paper tube so it looks like a rose, it's really easy.
  4. Fasten a piece of metal wire to the back of the rose and leave 5" so that you can fasten the rose to your tree, wreath or graland.

TIP:

Get the kids to help you make a bunch and use them to decorate a tree or some garland!
