This is a charming project with an old-fashioned feel. I used to make these roses with my grandmother, Mormor. I hold this project dear to my heart.
You need:
Crepe paper (I got mine here www.etsy.com/shop/QualityItalianCrepe)
rubber bands
thin metal wire
wire cutter
- Start by cutting 6" thick strips of the crêpe paper. The longer the strip the fuller the rose.
- Roll each strip loosely together and secure one end with a rubber band.
- Start spreading out the paper tube so it looks like a rose, it's really easy.
- Fasten a piece of metal wire to the back of the rose and leave 5" so that you can fasten the rose to your tree, wreath or graland.
TIP:
Get the kids to help you make a bunch and use them to decorate a tree or some garland!
